Paul William John

Qualifications:  Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants

Paul founded the practice in 1983, and is responsible for ensuring that you do not pay a penny more tax than is absolutely necessary. He is particularly interested in advising clients with property portfolios and is able to help them extract full value from their investments.

Paul manages the firm’s commitment to information technology and specialises in satisfying clients’ needs.

He recently celebrated his 25th Wedding Anniversary with Sian, and their 3 children are Lisi, Catherine and Peter.

Hobbies:  In his spare time, he is a school governor and enjoys playing at Burnham & Berrow Golf Club.

Barry Cleverly

Barry ‘celebrates’ 30 years in practice this year, the last 13 at P W John & Co, where his responsibilities include preparation of Management Accounts for some of our larger clients, and advising new businesses on their development.

A Princes Youth Business Trust mentor, Barry also has experience in tutoring clients in bookkeeping and has taught basic bookkeeping and accountancy to a variety of business people.

Hobbies:  Away from the office, Barry enjoys cooking, gardening and watching Bristol Rugby.

Fay Love

Qualifications:  Member of the Association of Accounting Technicians.

Fay joined the firm in 1984 and is primarily responsible for quality control.

Hobbies:  Looking after her young daughter (and husband!) and property renovation.

Marie Fester

Qualifications:  BA (Hons) Business Studies, Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Management Accountants.

Marie started her career as a Management Accountant working in Industry. After 19 years in Industry she decided to have a career change and moved across into Accounting practice. The last 4 years have been spent at P W John & Co.

Drawing on her wide experience as a Management Accountant she is able to offer full support to those clients who use Sage Line 50.

Hobbies:  She has two teenage sons and enjoys swimming, gardening and cooking.

Michelle Underhay

Qualifications:  Member of the Association of Accounting Technicians.

Michelle joined the firm 11 years ago and largely deals with clients’ personal and partnership tax returns.

Hobbies:  Michelle spends most of her free time running about after her young son and daughter. She also enjoys going to the gym and spending time with friends.

Jamie Livingstone

Qualifications:  Almost a member of the Association of Accounting Technicians

Jamie joined the firm 2 years ago as a trainee.

She has just taken exams for the final year of the AAT qualification and will be progressing to ACCA level next year.

Hobbies:  Jamie has just celebrated her 21st birthday and enjoys going out.

Katie Boyd

Qualifications:  A Level Accounting and Intermediate level of the Association of Accounting Technicians.

Katie recently joined the firm and is continuing with her AAT training.
